As you know, most of your child's supplies are provided by the school.  We do need a few additional supplies:
2 boxes of tissues
1 8 oz bottle of hand sanitizer   
1 roll of paper towel
1 backpack
1 box of zipped bags, any brand, sandwich or quart size
1 container of disinfecting wipes, any brand (ex. Clorox wipes) 

Each day your child will bring home their planner.  Before dismissal, your child will write down their homework and also what color they were on.  You should see my initials at the end of each day's section to know that I saw what they wrote down.  Please take the time and put your initials next to mine so the communication between home and school remains strong.

Welcome to Fifth Grade!  I am very excited to have your child in my class this year.  This will be my fourth year at Eagle Academy.  I previously taught 6-8, but am excited to make the transition to Fifth.  I have my degree in Early Childhood Education K-8, but have spent most of my time teaching the older grades. 

I am married to Mr. Cole, for 10 years now.  We have two wonderful children, ages 4 and 7.  We spend lots of time together as a family.

I really look forward to having your student learn, grow and discover the world around them this year.  We are going to explore American History, how America was discovered and settled.  We are going into Space, exploring the galaxy and planets.  We will be reading many new types of literature; poems, plays and even some mysteries!  Our goal will be to try new things and grow together as a classroom family!
