Re-Enrollment Forms 02/17/2012
Parents, please remember to complete a re-enrollment form for your child(ren) this week for the 2012-2013 school year at both Eagle Elementary and Secondary. If you have not yet received a form, you can download the one below, or contact the school for another copy. Please return these forms by MARCH 5th.
Add Comment Eagle Academy Elementary and Secondary are now re-enrolling our current students for next year. The re-enrollment period will be open from February 13-March 5. Forms will be sent home with all students by the end of the week. Please fill out and return your forms as soon as possible. You MUST complete a re-enrollment form in order to reserve a space for your child for the 2012-2013 school year. Parents of 5th graders, please fill out a re-enrollment form to secure a space at Eagle Secondary. All of our elementary and secondary classes fill up quickly, so PLEASE complete an enrollment form even if you are not sure yet which school your child will attend next year. Enrollment will be open to the public after March 5th. Current students and their siblings are given priority, but only if you return your form before March 5th! Our classes filled very quickly last year, so make sure you re-enroll early to reserve your space. Eagle Elementary will serve students in grades K-5 next year with two classes of each grade. Eagle Secondary will serve students in grades 6-10. Once all of the spaces are full, additional students will be placed on a waiting list. There will be a Kindergarten Round-Up on March 30th at the elementary for ALL new kindergarteners registering for the 2012-2013 school year, including siblings of current students. Eagle Secondary held its school-wide spelling bee on Monday, January 30. The top winners were: 1st: Destiny 2nd: Kaylla 3rd: Selena 4th: Pedro 5th: Gabbie 6th: Imani Destiny will represent Eagle Secondary at the Northwest Ohio Blade Championship Spelling Bee at Owens Community College on March 13. Congratulations! The Post-Secondary Enrollment Options Program (PSEOP) allows Ohio high school students to earn college credit and/or high school graduation credit through the successful completion of college courses. The PSEOP is open to 9th through 12th grade students enrolled in the state’s public, community and nonpublic high schools. The purpose of the program is to promote rigorous academic pursuits and expose students to options beyond the high school classroom. Please contact Eagle Academy Secondary for more information.
Congratulations to our top spellers at today's championship spell-off! 1st Place: Ricki 2nd Place: Christopher 3rd Place: Ashanti Ricki and Christopher each won a free subscription to Encyclopaedia Britannica Online for Kids. Ricki also won a powerspeaK12 foreign language course provided by Middlebury Interactive Languages. Winners from grades 4 and 5 will compete at Monday's assembly to determine our school champion, who will represent Eagle Elementary at the Northwest Ohio Blade Championship in March. Eagle Academy has accepted the challenge to help beat the record for the most Accelerated Reader quizzes taken in one day on March 2, Dr. Seuss' birthday! You can track national progress here. Students at Eagle Elementary and Secondary will be reading, reading, reading on that day and taking quizzes online at Renaissance Learning. Upcoming Events at EAE 12/12/2011
There are several events coming next week at Eagle Elementary. Please mark your calendars: Monday, December 19: Grades 3-5 will take a mock OAA Reading test at 8:00. Please make sure your student is at school on time for this very important practice test. Our usual Monday assembly will take place at 1:45 in the afternoon. Tuesday, December 20: Grades 3-5 will take a mock OAA Math test at 8:00. Again, please be at school on time. Grade 5 will celebrate their Winter Holiday parties in the afternoon. Wednesday, December 21: Grades K-4 will celebrate their Winter Parties in the morning. Grade 5 will take a mock OAA Science test at 8:00. The Holiday luncheon will begin at 10:30 in the cafeteria for students in Grades K-2 and their families. Grades 3-5 will eat at 11:30. Families with siblings in both age groups should attend at 10:30. Please return your form for guest lunch tickets. Parent surveys were sent home on Monday, December 12. Please return these to school by December 21. Winter break begins on Thursday, December 22 through Tuesday, January 3. Students will return to school on Wednesday, January 4. Eagle Secondary has several upcoming events in December. Mark your calendars! EAS is celebrating Inclusive Schools Week on December 8. The entire school will demonstrate that ALLstudents learn together in a student and staff web! There will be a Winter Formal on December 17. Tickets are $2.00 EAS students will be showing holiday spirit at the Winter Performance on December 21. Saturday School is a success at EAS!
