Eagle Academy Secondary students are participating in several activities to support National Bully Prevention Month. All of our students are reading a bully prevention book that includes information on bullying such as why people bully and what teens can do in situations with bullying. The book also includes comprehension activities that will be completed in class. Students will be submitting a pledge to be bully free that will be posted in our cafeteria.
On Thursday, October 6th at 9:00, Ms. Linda Parra the executive director of Nuestra Gente (“Our People", the Hispanic Organization & radio host) will visit our 9th graders to talk about health issues.
On Friday, October 7th, EAS will be celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month by honoring Hispanic individuals who have greatly impacted our society. Students have created presentations that will be presented to parents, staff, and fellow students! The Spanish class is offering a Hispanic Luncheon that includes a variety of Spanish dishes from Mexico, Venezuela, Columbia, Ecuador, Peru, and Cuba.
