Hello parents/guardians! I'm excited to begin my second year at Eagle Academy Secondary. For the 2012-2013 school year, I'll be teaching 8th, 9th, and 10th grade. I look forward to seeing our returning and new students in classes starting August 22nd. While in my room, students will be engaged in activities ranging from reading historical documents, writing research papers, completing individual or group projects, as well as using the latest technology to communicate with not only the teacher, but other students. Cooperation between parents/guardians, students, and myself is hugely important. When school begins, each student will receive a syllabus outlining the content for the year and explaining policies and procedures for my classroom. Throughout the year, I'll send home notes or messages addressing what is going on in the classroom or notifying of any changes. I'm asking parents/guardians to check their students' planners on a daily basis for homework assignments, upcoming tests/quizzes, or comments from me. Please feel free to communicate with me this way, too! I'm available by phone or email as well.
